let是情態動詞還是助動詞？

let不是情態動詞，也不是助動詞。

只不過他有像情態動詞的用法，

例如：1.Don't let me cry!不要讓我哭泣！

Baby ，don't let me down.親愛的！不要讓我失望！

2.let us pass through！讓我們過去

let是使役動詞

1）當let后只有一個單音節動詞，變被動語態時，可用不帶to 的不定式。

They let the strange go.---> The strange was let go.

2） 若let 后賓補較長時，let 通常不用被動語態，而用allow或permit 代替。

The nurse let me go to see my classmate in the hospital.

----> I was allowed / permitted to see my classmate in the hospital
