enable可以和can互換嗎？

enable是前綴en加形容詞able構成的實意動詞，這是一個及物動詞，后面可直接跟賓語。而can是一個情態動詞，后面不能直接跟賓語而要跟動詞原形，所以不能互換。如：

This will enable the audience to sit in comfort while watching the show.

Tom can speak Chinese.
